FAITH

by Morley Evans

Are we, who look forward to a better future with the Clintons gone and Trump sitting on the throne, fooling ourselves? Are we grasping at straws? As you know, this idiom means that a drowning man will grab onto anything that is floating — even a straw. If one politician is proven to be bad, should people conclude that his opponent is good? If Hitler was bad was Stalin good? Is Donald Trump draining the swamp or is he filling it with new slimy creatures who are just as bad as their predecessors?

Hillary Clinton had a grand scheme to get elected. Donald Trump was a stalking horse for Hillary. Bernie was another stalking horse. Both were promoted by the mainstream media which loved the Hillary campaign while it remained silent about Hillary's record. By giving Trump a billion dollars of free publicity (all bad) they thought that they could help Trump's nomination while making him a buffoon that they could destroy once he became the Republican candidate. They thought they could use Bernie to bring the disaffected Democratic supporters back into the fold. The Democratic masterminds failed. Trump won. Bernie's followers didn't vote.

We'll have to wait to see what happens. We don't have long to wait. Will Trump be worse than Obama, who was worse than Bush, who was worse than Clinton, who was worse than Bush, who was much, much, worse than Reagan? I hope not. The Hillary campaign failed. It proved that "You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time." The U.S. dollar empire is a house of cards. It is held together by false belief. When that faith finally evaporates, the empire will collapse as sure as fate. It doesn't matter who sits on the purple POTUS throne.
