Malum

© MMXI V.1.0.1
by Morley Evans

Malum prohibitum means a prohibited wrong, usually a wrong prohibited by statute
Malum in se means a wrong that is "naturally evil as adjudged by the sense of a civilized community"

Libertarians are concerned with Malum prohibitum that are not Malum in se such as prostitution, homosexuality and drug use — even though many libertarians, such as myself, may object to these.

Libertarians are also concerned with Malum in se that are excused, such as the robbery committed by the State: taxation and debasement of the currency which funds everything the State does. All of it, from welfare to war is tainted by the poison fruit of the poison tree, theft.

The State itself is naturally evil as adjudged by the sense of a civilized community and everything it does is illegal.

The State has no right to make law or to steal. Therefore Malum prohibitum is illegitimate.

So much for that. But thems with the guns makes the laws. Mao said "Power grows out of the barrel of a gun."

It really makes no difference at all if Obama is not an American. It does not matter that the Income Tax was created as a temporary measure to fund WW I. Income Tax will never be repealed by the people who run the State because they like spending the money as much as Obama likes being the President. Here, Canadians are happy to protect people who are doctors and pharmaceutical companies whatever they do.

I would prefer to live in a civilized community, myself, but I don't know where to find one. If our civilization is brought to an end by a financial tsunami, I doubt if everyone's behaviour will improve. Were people better during the Great Depression? Maybe they were.

Life is better when life is simpler.
