The world is full of crazy people. Here is some cold water to douse the flames. The bottom line is this: the American Age is over. It doesn't matter who wins the U.S. election in November. The United States is finished as the world hegemon. Good riddence.

An Obsolescent Military: Bombing Everything, Gaining Nothing

By Fred Reed

What, precisely, is the US military for, and what, precisely, can it do? In practical terms, how powerful is it? On paper, it is formidable, huge, with carrier battle groups, advanced technology, remarkable submarines, satellites, and so on. What does this translate to?

Military power does not exist independently, but only in relation to specific circumstances. Comparing technical specifications of the T-14 to those of the M1A2, or Su-34 to F-15, or numbers of this to numbers of that, is an interesting intellectual exercise. It means little without reference to specific circumstances.

For example, America is vastly superior militarily to North Korea in every category of arms – but the North has nuclear bombs. It can’t deliver them to the US, but probably can to Seoul. Even without nuclear weapons, it has a large army and large numbers of artillery tubes within range of Seoul. It has an unpredictable government.

As Gordon Liddy said, if your responses to provocation are wildly out of proportion to those provocations, and unpredictable, nobody will provoke you.

As the election of the U.S. President draws near, the possibility of electing Hillary Clinton becomes truly alarming. This person should be wearing a straightjacket in a rubber room.

The most serious menace to life on earth is not Global Warming.

Red-Light Warning on Now, About Hillary Clinton

Hillary Clinton, on September 19th, was endorsed for President, by the most historically important, intelligent, and dangerous, Republican of modern times.
She was endorsed then by the person who in 1990 cunningly engineered the end of the Soviet Union and of its Warsaw Pact military alliance in such a way as to continue the West’s war against Russia so as to conquer Russia gradually for the owners of US international corporations. The person, who kept his plan secret even from his closest advisors, until the night of 24 February 1990, when he told them that what he had previously instructed them to tell Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev as the West’s future military intentions about Russia if the USSR were to end, was actually a lie.

Lavrov, Kerry and Putin

Above is a photo of Kerry talking to Putin and Lavrov in Moscow a week or so ago and their facial expressions are hard to misread. There’s Kerry, with his back to the camera, babbling away as per usual. Lavrov’s face says: “I can’t believe I have to sit here and listen to this nonsense again.” Putin’s face says: “Oh the poor idiot, he can’t bring himself to understand that we’re just going to say ‘nyet’ again.” Kerry flew home with yet another “nyet.”

Thanks to the lovely Diana Ruby for this timely reminder! Diana lives in beautiful Winterpeg, Manitoba, where it is often colder than Novosibirsk in mid-Siberia.

Looking on the bright side, we should all remember that there are no mosquitoes in winter and malaria is unknown in Winnipeg and Regina. There hasn't been an outbreak of Yellow Fever there for a long time.
